On June 2, the school held a video promotion meeting for the International Professional Standards Evaluation and Recognition Program with the National Recognition Information Center for the United Kingdom (UK NARIC). Dong Lisheng and Ni Ju, the vice presidents, the heads of the Office of Academic Affairs, the Scientific Research and Foreign Affair Office and relevant secondary schools and some core teachers attended the meeting.
In the video meeting, Ms. Li Huajie, the chief representative in the Chinese office of the National Recognition Information Center for the United Kingdom made an explanation in detail for the context, process and anticipated effect of the International Professional Standards Evaluation and Recognition Program implemented by the higher vocational colleges. She emphasized that the National Recognition Information Center for the United Kingdom was one of the biggest skill certification organization in the world, mastered rich international professional standards evaluation and recognition experience and relevant materials, was able to help the relevant majors acquire the international quality standard certificate and international benchmarking certificate by a full set of quality evaluation and recognition system, and strongly supported the school to deeply participate in the international education services. In addition, the attendees also negotiated and exchanged with each other for the relevant issues.
In March of this year, our school filed an application to join the National Recognition Information Center for the United Kingdom and became one of the first batch of 20 experimental colleges and universities in the country. Next, our school will accelerate the international professional construction and construct an “international brand for the Chinese vocational education” at every task node of the “Construction Plan of High-level Vocational Colleges & Specialties with Chinese Characteristics”.
