On the afternoon of June 5, the signing ceremony for the China-Russia international cooperation in education (College of Eurasian Transportation) between our collegel and Xinxiang City took place smoothly in the administrative office building of the Xinxiang government, marking the official settlement of the China-Russia international cooperation in education of Zhengzhou Railway Vocational & Technical College (College of Eurasian Transportation). Zhang Guowei, the secretary of the municipal party committee of Xinxiang, Wang Dengxi, the mayor, Zhang Tao, the head of the municipal standing committee and organization department, Zhou Yong, the vice chairman of the municipal committee of CPPCC and the director of the commerce bureau, Zhang Wenhui, the vice chairman of the municipal committee of CPPCC and the director of the development and reform commission, Xu Yan, the secretary of the party committee of the school, Kong Fanshi, the president, Dong Lisheng and Xu Hongping, the vice presidents and the heads of the school office, the infrastructure department and the campus planning and construction office were present in the signing ceremony. Xu Yan pointed out that the leaders of the municipal party committee and municipal government of Xinxiang looked far ahead and aimed high, was prudent and practical, firstly implemented the ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River basin, constructed the Zhengzhou-Luoyang-Xinxiang National Innovation Demonstration Zone, caught the opportunity of Zhengzhou-Xinxiang integrative development strategy, and actively planned the leading industries, such as high-end manufacturing industry and modern service industry; Pingyuan New Area is ideal for the school to expand the school space due to its excellent geographic position, vast potential for future development and ascendant urban construction. In the meantime, it also provides a vast development space for our college to further implement the education action of the provincial committee and government to introduce the foreign excellent education resources, promote the joint construction of “the Belt and Road”, and drive the improvement of the China-Russia international cooperation in education.
Xu Yan emphasized that, as established in 1951, Zhengzhou Railway Vocational & Technical College was the sole public higher vocational college of rail transit in Henan, the first independent higher vocational college in the national railway system, the national advanced unit of vocational education, the national core higher vocation college, the national-level excellent higher vocation college and the unit of the “Construction Plan of High-level Vocational Colleges & Specialties with Chinese Characteristics”. Within 69 years since its establishment, the school has cultivated many intermediate and senior technology application and management talents, totaling 150 thousand persons. Since 2010, Eurasian Transportation College was established among the school, Russia Transportation University, and St. Petersburg State Transport University through cooperation, to carry out 16 projects, such as the railway locomotive, high-speed railway engineering and so on. At present, there are about 5,000 students in the college, realizing the harmonious development of the international cooperation in education in the aspects of scale, quality and benefit.
Xu Yan indicated that the agreement signed constructed a good platform for the deep fusion among politics, industry, study, research and innovation, laying a firm foundation for the further cooperation between the parties. He hoped that a normal cooperation mechanism could be established between the school and the local government to clear the information channel, get the persons closer and accelerate the cooperation progress and that the settlement of the college could make contributions to the high-quality development of Pingyuan New Area. He wished the project cooperation could be successful and the cooperation between the school and the local could be broader and broader.
Zhang Guowei, the secretary of the municipal party Committee of Xinxiang made a speech and briefly introduced the situation, opportunities and advantages and economic and social development of Xinxiang. He pointed out that as a public full-time college with distinctive characteristics in the province, Zhengzhou Railway Vocational & Technical College cultivated lots of talents and provided strong intelligence support for prompting the rail transit industry and regional economy and society to develop. The project cooperation was of significance for deepening the cooperation between the school and the local government and developing the higher education career and provided strong intelligence support and talent security for the ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River basin. The municipal party committee and municipal government of Xinxiang provided various excellent and high-efficient services for the project construction, and Pingyuan Demonstration Zone should continue to strengthen the communication and coordination with the school, be a “server” for project promotion, provide the most favorable policy, the best environment, the best service and the most strong security, clear various obstacles for the project construction, promote the project to be constructed and completed as soon as possible for admission and realize the win-win cooperation between the school and the local government.

It is reported that, 3 colleges and universities, including Zhengzhou Railway Vocational & Technical College, North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power and Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics settled in Pingyuan Demonstration Area, which further promotes the scientific research of Xinxiang city to rapidly develop, provides talent security, scientific support and intelligence support for the development of the hi-tech industry and strategic emerging industry in Xinxiang city and strongly drives the construction of the Xinxiang Region of the Zhengzhou-Luoyang-Xinxiang National Innovation Demonstration Zone.
