The College Participated In the BRICS TVET Cooperation Alliance Seminar on Vocational Education and Training Cooperation

On May 29th, the BRICS TVET Cooperation Alliance Vocational Education and Training Cooperation Seminar, hosted by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and the Russian Federal Institute for the development of Vocational Education and Training, was held online. Denis Gribov, Deputy Minister of Education of Russia, and Liu Limin, President of the Secretariat of the BRICS TVET Cooperation Alliance and the China Education Association for International Exchange, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. The vice president of the college, Hu Dianyu, represented Chinese institutions and made a special presentation on China’s TVET in the New Era during the discussion session.
In her report, Hu Dianyu provided a detailed introduction to the type positioning, structural scale, school-running model, and development achievements of China's vocational education. She emphasized that since entering the new era, China's vocational education has undergone earth-shaking changes through continuous policy guidance and financial investment, forming a vocational education system that is integrated horizontally and vertically. Vocational education has played a huge role in empowering individual development, supporting industrial progress, and serving the Belt and Road initiative. The next step for the college, under the guidance of the government, will be to align with the industrial structure layout, build a community of industry-education integration, promote the transformation of digital education, improve the quality of talent cultivation, strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship education, cultivate leading talents for the future, deepen exchanges and cooperation, and promote inclusive development of vocational education.
In April 2022, the BRICS TVET Cooperation Alliance was officially established. As one of the leading founding members of the Alliance, the college has continuously participated in multiple sessions of the Principals' Forum, TVET Teacher Capacity Building Webinar and the Rising Star TVET Student Camp s, making a positive contribution to deepening internal exchanges and cooperation within the Alliance and promoting the construction of a community with a shared future for international vocational education.
